I got a message today which was actually chain mail and usually I ignore them and have a rule never to share them. You know the ones, pass this on to 18 people and get them to message you back etc…?
Anyway this message really touched my heart and I felt compelled to share it with you and invite you to join me in saying a prayer this evening for Syria and anywhere in the world that is experiencing pain and suffering. Let’s send love to the pain and ask for peace.
I’m a great believer in the power of prayer (There’s a wonderful book about it by Larry Dossey Healing Words: The Power of Prayer and the Practice of Medicine that might interest you) and Masaru Emoto writes of experiments on the power of prayer to physically change water purity in Japan.
Tonight at 10pm I’ll light a candle and say a prayer from my heart for peace and I invite you to join me.
P.s. If it resonates please share it with as many people as possible. Thank you.
You can read the message below:
At 10 pm tonight, we are summoned across the world, wherever we live, beyond our convictions and religions, to a moment of recollection, prayer and supplication for peace in Syria.
The suffering inflicted upon these millions of men of women and children is abominable.
While they have no one to ask for help, they are under the eyes of the whole world. We feel helpless in this situation, and can only pray.
So why not mobilize the entire planet to pray for peace? It’s urgent !
Let’s transform our compassion into a gigantic chain of prayer and intercession. Forward this message further, it will help extend this chain of compassion.
And especially take a minute tonight to pray for them!
We are only asked to pray!
So get the message out as much as you can!
(I don’t know where this message originated or who wrote it so apologies in advance for not citing the author.)
